چکیده
Efficient parallel-in-time methods for hyperbolic partial differential equation problems remain scarce. Here we investigate an approach based on circulant preconditioned generalised minimal residual (GMRES) the monolithic block Toeplitz equations which arise from constant time-step discretizations. We present theoretical results guarantee convergence in a number of iterations independent time-steps and demonstrate potential utility with numerical employing several different finite difference schemes varying orders accuracy.

New solution of fuzzy linear matrix equations
In this paper, a new method based on parametric form for approximate solu-tion of fuzzy linear matrix equations (FLMEs) of the form AX = B; where Ais a crisp matrix, B is a fuzzy number matrix and the unknown matrix X one,is presented. Then a numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposedmodel.
متن کاملA numerical solution of variable order diusion and wave equations
In this work, we consider variable order difusion and wave equations. The derivative is describedin the Caputo sence of variable order. We use the Genocchi polynomials as basic functions andobtain operational matrices via these polynomials. These matrices and collocation method help usto convert variable order diusion and wave equations to an algebraic system. Some examples aregiven to show the...
متن کاملSolution of Wave Equations Near Seawalls by Finite Element Method
A 2D finite element model for the solution of wave equations is developed. The fluid is considered as incompressible and irrotational. This is a difficult mathematical problem to solve numerically as well as analytically because the condition of the dynamic boundary (Bernoulli’s equation) on the free surface is not fixed and varies with time. The finite element technique is applied to solve non...
متن کاملSolution of Linear Equations
We have discussed general methods for solving arbitrary equations, and looked at the special class of polynomial equations. A subclass of the latter comprises all the systems of linear equations to which the area of linear algebra is devoted. In fact, many a problem in numerical analysis can be reduced to one of solving a system of linear equations. We already witnessed this in the use of Newto...
متن کاملSemi-linear wave equations
This survey reviews some of the recent work on semilinear wave equations, in particular the wave map equation. We discuss wellposedness, as well as the construction of special solutions and their stability. Mathematics Subject Classification (2010). 35L05, 35L52, 37K40, 37K45, 53Z05
